The Menopause Charity supports ITV ‘This Morning Takes on The Menopause’ campaign

In July, The Menopause Charity teamed up with ITV’s flagship daytime show This Morning as part of their ‘This Morning Takes On The Menopause’ campaign.

This Morning launched a new Menopause Bus in London, before stopping at Birmingham, Liverpool and Cardiff, aimed at raising awareness and encouraging people to talk about menopause.

The Menopause Charity helped provide information for the bus, ensuring women, and their loved ones, could visit and receive fact-based information to enable them to make informed decisions about their health.

CEO Jenny Haskey was on hand speaking to people at each location. “Everyone should be able to access accurate information about perimenopause and menopause. When women understand the changes that occurs during this time and the treatment options available they can work with their GP to make the choices that are right for them.”

A range of leaflets, including HRT, alternatives to HRT and a guide for loved ones were written by The Menopause Charity were distributed with further support and sign-posting offered, ensuring people left with evidence-based information, practical support and reassurance that they were not alone.

Earlier this year, founder of The Menopause Charity Dr Louise Newson and This Morning shared some top tips to ensure loved ones are equipped to help someone with the menopause.
