Kane Sterling is tackling Tough Mudder, a 15KM obstacle course, for The Menopause Charity on August 12.

With 30 obstacles across the 9 plus mile route, this event is no easy ride with participants facing forty feet net climbs, cage crawls, monkey bars and plenty more to test the whole body.

Kane is hoping to raise £1,000 for The Menopause Charity and was inspired by his wife, who has been experiencing perimenopausal symptoms for a number of years.  Kane says, “She has finally started HRT, and this will hopefully help, but it is a work in progress. In the meantime, it is very important to have support available from charities like The Menopause Charity, as it can be a very lonely, often difficult, time for women who can feel misunderstood or invisible. As a family member, it can be hard to understand the symptoms relating to menopause and so the more awareness, the better.”

Jenny Haskey, CEO at The Menopause Charity said, “We are so grateful to Kane for tackling this incredible challenge in support of not only our cause but his wife.  It is so important that partners understand the changes that occur during perimenopause and menopause so that they can be supportive and help them access trusted information and treatment.  We wish Kane the very best of luck for his challenge, and thank him for raising ”
