Discover how The Menopause Charity Rose was created

At the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Dr Radhika Vohra took time to discover how The Menopause Charity rose was created. The journey of creating a new rose has many similarities with that of perimenopause, symbolising our natural  partnership. Watch this short video with Philip Harkness to find out more.

Why is it called The Menopause Charity Rose?

The charity is passionate about raising awareness and tackling the taboo and stigma of menopause. We won’t shy away from talking about menopause.

We acknowledge that perimenopause and menopause can be difficult for many women and other individuals who experience them. This isn’t something to be minimised or hidden. It’s also important to recognise that symptoms present differently for everyone. We are here to educate everyone, which means being honest about the range of menopause experiences and opening up conversation for everyone.

As a young charity, it is also important we are able to reach more people. The more people know about us, the better support people can receive. With greater access to trusted information and support, together we can make menopause symptoms history.

The Menopause Charity Rose

The Menopause Charity Rose is available to buy from the Harkness Rose Company  £2.50 from the sale of each rose will be paid to the charity.

Every rose will carry information and signpost to our trusted online knowledge hub through a QR code on the product label.

The funds raised will help the charity develop online and live chat services, to provide vital support to women and people experiencing menopause symptoms.  It will also ensure that family, friends, co-workers, employers and health care professionals have the information and resources to provide appropriate support.
