The Menopause Charity becomes a trusted information creator. Charity and PIF TICK logos

The Menopause Charity is proud to announce we have been awarded PIF TICK Accreditation. Delivering credible menopause information you can trust.

The Menopause Charity has been recognised as a trusted information creator.  Following assessment, we are the first organisation dedicated to helping everyone understand menopause to be awarded the PIF Tick. PIF Tick is the UK’s only assessed quality mark for print and online health and care information.  To become a ‘trusted information creator’, we had to undergo an assessment to show we met 10 key criteria.

Highlighting the PIF Tick on our health information means you can be assured that what you are reading, watching or listening to is evidence-based, understandable, jargon-free, up-to-date and produced to the best possible standard.

Jenny Haskey, CEO at The Menopause Charity said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the PIF Tick.  With increasing menopause information online, it can be difficult to know what to trust.  This quality mark is a quick and easy way for people to be assured our information is reliable and trustworthy.  Moreover, can seek comfort in the knowledge that certified medical experts have appropriately reviewed our information, and is independent of any one clinical viewpoint.”

The PIF Tick, is run by the non-profit Patient Information Forum (PIF).  Their website www.piftick.org.uk helps people find trusted health information.   The site also includes guides on topics including spotting false health information and understanding evidence.

PIF TICK manager Dan Wills said: “We are thrilled to welcome The Menopause Charity to our ever-growing community of accredited PIF TICK members.  Accurate, accessible, evidence-based information is key to increasing patient empowerment and improving health outcomes.”
